Our Porsche 911 Type 997 Carrera Cabriolet, with 130,000 KM on the clock, was put into circulation on May 3, 2005 in Italy, before arriving in France in 2013. Its last change of ownership dates back to 8 April 2016.
This model comes in a gray shade, combined with a black leather interior, in good overall condition despite normal wear and tear on the leathers. The body is also in good condition, reflecting the care given to this vehicle by its previous owners. The on-board instrumentation is fully functional.
Under the hood, this 911 is equipped with the 3.6L flat six-cylinder engine, developing 325 horsepower, coupled to a manual transmission (BVM). The maintenance of this car was rigorously monitored by Porsche, with a complete history and all invoices available. The final overhaul will be done prior to the sale, ensuring that the car is ready to be delivered. Regarding consumables, brake pads are 50%.
Here are the options and equipment available to this copy:
The Porsche 911 Type 997 Carrera Cabriolet, produced between 2004 and 2013, is part of the sixth generation of the famous 911. The 997 model is an evolution of the previous generation, the 996, with notable changes in design and mechanics. The return to the iconic oval headlights, replacing the 996's “fried egg” headlights, is one of the major cosmetic changes. Also, 18-inch rims are becoming the norm.
The cabriolet version, launched in 2005, marked a novelty at Porsche: it was developed before the coupe version. In fact, for the first time, the convertible design guided the development of the chassis, ensuring maximum rigidity despite the absence of a fixed roof. Despite the additional weight, the convertible achieved performance that was almost identical to that of the coupe.
In 2009, the 997 received an update with a direct injection engine, the dual-clutch “PDK” transmission, and aerodynamic improvements, such as the rear spoiler adjusted to compensate for canvas roof drag. This update made the model faster and more fuel efficient, while improving handling.
