The stages of Carsup's beautiful story

2004

The spark

Frédéric Lasnier, a family friend, entrepreneur and passionate collector, was the first to introduce young Samuel Lelarge (founder and CEO of Carsup) to a passion for cars. In this photo, Samuel proudly displays his ninth birthday in this Mazda MX-5. This is the beginning of a complicity that will give birth to the Carsup spark fifteen years later.

2014

The Alfetta GTV 2.0 from the beginning

Aged 18 and beginning a career as a technician in industry, Samuel Lelarge intends to pursue his passion, the automobile. Lacking the financial resources to buy a car, he turned to Frédéric Lasnier. The latter owns an abandoned Alfetta GTV 2.0, which Samuel intends to restore in exchange for a condominium. After long months of work, it was finally a failure, as the car was too deeply attacked by corrosion.

2015

A collaboration of circumstances

After the failure of the Alfetta, Frédéric did not want to stop there and sent Samuel to buy him his first collector car, a Fiat 124 Spider. A true Madeleine de Proust for Frédéric, it will give him the desire to create a collection of cars that fascinate him.

Samuel then became his car asset manager by managing the purchase, maintenance and repairs, insurance and administrative aspects until resale.

It is finally together that they will come to the conclusion that each owner of an exceptional car faces numerous constraints.

2019

The first Carsup space in Orléans

Based on the previous observation, Samuel, aged 23, decided to launch a service dedicated to owners of exceptional vehicles. He then moved closer to Frédéric who would become the co-founder of Carsup. Samuel, the only operational officer, is bringing up to date an old garage in the suburbs of Orléans to store the cars entrusted to him. He will create the foundations of Carsup, with the quality of customer service as a cardinal value and anchor point.

2020

The beginnings of a team

Faced with the increasing demands of an expanding clientele, Samuel Lelarge recruited the first collaborator on the Carsup adventure, who is still part of the adventure today.

2021

First step to growth

Decision was made to develop the company and to aim at the core target, where the largest number of collectors and lovers of beautiful cars were grouped: direction Paris. As a symbol, the first parking lot is chosen... Orleans Gate.

2021

The team is structured

In order to support growth, Samuel Lelarge has acquired a solid right-hand man, a necessary and complementary ally to continue the adventure and develop the business. Sébastien Cochois (ESSEC), also a car enthusiast, joins the company as COO (Chief Operation Officer).

2022

Continued expansion

The opening of a new space on the most beautiful avenue in the world symbolizes the upmarket and rapid growth of Carsup as much as the success of the concept imagined just three years earlier.

2022

Brand redesign

After numerous works and to support the rise in the range of services, the brand is evolving. Cars-Up becomes Carsup and the logo is transformed, going from the speed grid to a symbol representing a car layout and using the initials CUP.

A big step is taken

First international step with the opening in Belgium of a privileged space, ideally located in the heart of the European district of Brussels. Two additional establishments in Brussels and one in Antwerp will be added in order to meet the demand of this very active market.

2022

Integration of the Compagnie des Remisages in La Défense

The first external development operation, Carsup became the majority shareholder of Compagnie des Remisages, the largest security company in France located in Western Paris.

2023

Launch of the Carsup App

Imagined since the beginning of the adventure, Carsup is launching its first digital product, allowing customers to access essential information on their cars and to order services. This technological contribution, unprecedented in the world of concierge services, has the ultimate goal of allowing Carsup members to manage their entire collection directly from their phone, at any time... and without constraints.

2023

fundraiser

By raising 6 million euros in April 2023, Carsup confirms the confidence of investors and allows new expansion initiatives, in particular the opening of 10 new sites in the largest cities in France.

Creation of an event center

First edition of an exceptional event, organized in June 2023 at Orléans Airport, which offers Carsup members the unique opportunity to push their cars on a runway. Mach 1 will become Carsup's signature event and will also take place in 2024 with more than 500 cars participating in this private event reserved for Carsup members.

Carsup establishes itself in Switzerland

The opening of a concierge service in Switzerland in August 2023, in the heart of Geneva, continues to expand the company's international presence.

2023

Carsup invests in Great Britain

In September 2023, Carsup crossed a new and highly symbolic border by opening two concierge centers in the United Kingdom, in the London districts of Chelsea and King's Cross. Settling on the land of Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, Lotus, Bentley, Rolls Royce and many more is a highlight.

Artificial intelligence at the heart of the service

Since July 2024, artificial intelligence has been integrated directly into the tool used by all Carsupers in concierge services. This innovation allows members to benefit from increased responsiveness and even more relevant interactions, whether via the Carsup application or with their dedicated contact person.

International expansion

It is only the beginning. On the horizon, a new stage is on the horizon for Carsup. We have great ambitions, and our objective is clear: to become the world leader in car concierge by providing a new and disruptive vision on how to support owners of exceptional cars.
