Launched in 2004, the 997 generation of the 911 marks a return to some more traditional style elements. These elements counterbalance the changes made on the 996 generation in order to compensate for the mixed reactions. The 997 was updated in 2008 with numerous improvements. It has a 385-horsepower flat 6 with direct fuel injection as well as the new PDK automatic transmission.
This Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4S Coupé was put into circulation on April 14, 2011. Originally from Belgium, it passes into the hands of 2 owners only. Its second owner acquired it in 2016 and imported it into France at the same time. This copy is in good general condition. Its body, in a black color, has some slight defects: a scratch and a paint chip are present on the rear bumper, a halo appears in the varnish on the right rear wing, a slight friction is visible under the front blade and an impact is apparent on the covering of the left rearview mirror. Apart from these slight defects in use, the body is in good condition. The paint offers brilliance and depth. In the cabin, all the elements are in very good condition. In a black color, the seats, steering wheel and dashboard have no signs of wear and tear. The on-board instrumentation is working normally and no costs are expected.
On the mechanical side, this example has a 385-horsepower flat six coupled to a PDK automatic gearbox in perfect working condition. Start-ups are smooth and there are no abnormal noises during use. The PDK gearbox offers quick and unobstructed gear changes. It is maintained in the Porsche network exclusively during its visit to Belgium, then with sports specialists in France. She has had her complete maintenance book and all her invoices since she arrived in France. The last interview was carried out during the summer of 2023. The tires have covered 2000 KM since they were last changed.
This example has a Maxton front blade, as well as an X-pipe and EVOX stainless steel silencer with remote-controlled valve. The original line is provided. This Porsche also has a reversible RS 4.0 type of covering.

The Porsche 911, with its Type 997.2 Carrera 4S Coupé model, is an important embodiment in the evolutionary history of one of the most iconic sports car lines in the world.
The Porsche 911, first introduced in 1963, has evolved through several generations, maintaining its distinctive character while integrating technological advances and performance improvements. The 997 generation, launched in 2004, marked a return to some of the more traditional 911 styling elements, especially after mixed reactions to some aspects of the previous generation, the 996. The 997 underwent a major update in 2008, resulting in version '997.2'. The Carrera 4S Coupé model, in this update, was launched with several significant improvements over its predecessor.
The 997.2 Carrera 4S is equipped with a 3.8-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine, producing around 385 horsepower. Unlike the previous generation, this engine uses direct fuel injection, a first for the 911, offering improved fuel efficiency and performance. This generation introduced the PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) dual-clutch transmission, replacing the old Tiptronic gearbox. The six-speed manual transmission was also available.
The 4S, with its all-wheel drive, offers acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around 4.7 seconds. The maximum speed is around 297 km/h. The 997.2 received a refined chassis and improved suspension for improved handling. It is also equipped with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system.
The exterior features subtle changes from the 997.1, including redesigned headlights, larger air intakes, and LED taillights. Inside, the 997.2 offers a slightly reworked cabin with improved materials and a new entertainment and navigation system.
The 997.2 Carrera 4S has been well received by critics and Porsche fans alike, offering a balanced blend of performance, classic style, and modern technology. It is often considered to be one of the most desirable 911 models of its generation, thanks to its balance between tradition and innovation.
The Porsche 911 Type 997.2 Carrera 4S Coupé represents a key chapter in the evolution of the 911. With its advancements in performance, technology and design, while maintaining the iconic aesthetics of the 911, this car continues to embody the spirit of the Porsche brand and its racing heritage.
