The consumables are new, and no costs are to be expected. The maintenance file is complete, accompanied by invoices detailing the work carried out.
The Volkswagen Golf Mk1 Cabriolet, introduced in 1979, is the convertible version of the famous German compact car. Based on a prototype presented in 1976 by the coachbuilder Wilhelm Karmann, it is distinguished by its integrated anti-roll bar and a reinforced structure. Production, entirely carried out by Karmann, lasted until 1993, well after the arrival of the following generations of the Golf.
Under the name Golf Cabriolet in Europe and Rabbit Convertible in North America until 1984, it then simply adopted the “Cabriolet” badge. Throughout its production, it maintained the characteristic design of the Golf Mk1, despite the evolution of Golf hatchbacks. Late versions, starting in 1988, received the “Clipper” body kit with bumpers and fender extensions matching the body color.
Convertibles were equipped with vinyl or fabric roofs with a heated rear window, manual until 1991, when an electric option appeared. Offered with a high-end GLI or GTI finish depending on the market, the Golf Cabriolet combined timeless style with respectable performance. This model remains an icon for fans of compact convertible cars.
