Our Rolls-Royce 20/25, put into circulation in January 1936, was initially delivered in the United States before arriving in England at a Rolls Royce and Bentley specialist, where its first and only French owner acquired it in early 2009. Since then he has preserved it with the greatest care.

This model features an elegant two-tone English Green and Black color, with a refined interior: black upholstery at the front and cream at the back. A true collector's item, this Rolls-Royce is distinguished by its prestigious history, having belonged to a member of the Kennedy family and having been exhibited at exceptional events.

It is equipped with an in-line 6-cylinder engine combined with a 4-speed manual gearbox. An overdrive has been added, offering two additional ratios on 3rd and 4th speed for better driving pleasure. With 96,500 miles on the clock, this prestigious car starts both electrically and with a crank.

The maintenance was exclusively entrusted to specialists, with a file of invoices, detailed notes and also the original car registration documents of the previous owners. A complete overhaul was carried out on March 8, 2025, at 96,460 miles, including an oil change. The consumables are in good condition and no costs are to be expected. Only a few aesthetic flaws should be noted: a slight dent on the front fenders and a paint defect on the left rear fender.

The Rolls-Royce 20/25, produced between 1929 and 1936, succeeded the Twenty and became the brand's best-selling model between the two wars. Designed for owners who wanted to drive themselves, it enabled Rolls-Royce to successfully navigate the Great Depression.

Equipped with a 3.7-liter six-cylinder engine, it develops around 25 fiscal horsepower thanks to an increase in the bore. Its chassis houses custom bodies, made by artisans such as Park Ward or Mulliner. It also used in technical developments, in particular a synchronized gearbox from 1932 and a centralized lubrication system.

Its success also influenced the acquisition of Bentley by Rolls-Royce in 1931. The 20/25 engine was adapted to create the Bentley 3½ Litre, nicknamed “Silent Sports Car”.

With 3,827 copies produced and more than 70% still in circulation, the 20/25 remains popular with collectors. Less expensive and more maneuverable than the Phantom II, it represents an accessible gateway for fans of vintage Rolls-Royces. Today, some models still appear in British movies and series, testifying to their place in automotive history.
