Our Maserati GranSport, launched on February 22, 2005, has only 45,600 km on the clock. Sold new in a French dealership, it was initially registered in Luxembourg before returning to France in 2009. Its current owner purchased it in 2016.
This model comes in a metallic Grigio Touring color combined with a black leather interior. The body is in good condition and the interior is neat. However, it should be noted that the headliner has some faults.
Under the hood, this GranSport is powered by a 4.2L naturally aspirated V8 developing 400 horsepower, coupled to an automatic transmission. The beautiful sound of this engine is enhanced by a modified X-pipe. The mechanical components work perfectly. The maintenance was carried out in a dealership or by specialists, with a complete history (invoices and maintenance book available). A major revision was just carried out in 2024, including the replacement of the tires. The consumables are in good condition.

The Maserati GranSport 4.2, unveiled in 2004 at the Geneva Motor Show, is a sporty version of the 4200 GT Coupé. It was produced until 2007 and was available in a Spyder version from 2005. Designed under the direction of Frank Stephenson, it features improved aerodynamics, a chassis that was lowered by 10 mm and specific design elements such as 19-inch “Trofeo” wheels and redesigned bumpers.
It is equipped with the 4.2-liter Ferrari-Maserati F136 R V8 engine developing 400 hp, 10 hp more than the standard Coupé, thanks to an optimization of the intake and exhaust manifolds. The transmission is exclusively a six-speed robotic Cambiocorsa gearbox, recalibrated for faster changes.
The GranSport reaches 100 km/h in 4.85 seconds and has a maximum speed of 290 km/h. Its handling is refined thanks to the Skyhook active suspension. The interior gets bucket seats, a redesigned steering wheel, and carbon fiber inserts.
With 2,613 units produced, the GranSport marked the end of the 4200 GT model before the arrival of GranTurismo in 2007, maintaining a particular place among Maserati GTs.
