Our Porsche Boxster 986, with 180,000 KM on the clock, was put into circulation on August 8, 2000 in Italy. This model is offered in a superb metallic Arctic Gray color, combined with a Terra Cotta red leather interior reminiscent of the famous 550 Spyder.
The overall condition of the car is very good. The body has no significant flaws, while the interior has a beautiful leather patina. Note a small discoloration of the leather to the right of the steering wheel.
Under the hood, this Boxster is equipped with a 2.5L engine developing 204 horsepower, coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Its operation is flawless. Maintenance was regularly carried out at the Porsche Center and at specialists such as GT SPORT. The last revision was carried out on September 28, 2023. An expert report dated December 5, 2023 is available for consultation. The car is equipped with 987 rims with new tires. The original wheel set is also available.

At the beginning of the 1990s, Porsche's financial situation was not in good shape. The German brand does not sell enough, despite the success of the 911. In 1996, Porsche unveiled a new model designed as a two-seater roadster. More financially accessible and allowing the range of products to be expanded, the Porsche Boxster was a real success and allowed the German brand to raise the bar.
Initially equipped with a 2.5-liter engine producing 204 horsepower (150 kW) and reaching 240 km/h, the Boxster 986 evolved over time. In 2000, the engine capacity was increased to 2.7 liters for the base model, now called Boxster 2.7, with an output of 220 horsepower (162 kW). In the same year, the Boxster S model was introduced with a 3.2-liter 252-horsepower (185 kW) engine, capable of reaching 260 km/h and going from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Inspired by the 550 Spyder, the 718 and the 914 model, the Boxster appealed and became a main pillar of the brand.
