Our Ferrari Mondial, with 57,000 KM on the clock, was put into circulation on June 17, 1988 in Switzerland before arriving in France in 2021. Since then, it has been maintained with the greatest care by its four successive owners.
This model comes in the iconic Rosso Corsa shade, accompanied by a Beige leather interior, offering a classic and elegant combination. The condition of the body is excellent, as is the interior, which is in very good condition.
Under the hood, this Mondial 3.2 is equipped with a 3.2L naturally aspirated V8 engine developing 270 horsepower, combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It works perfectly. A complete renovation was carried out in April 2024, including the engine overhaul, the replacement of the timing belt, the clutch, the renovation of the shock absorbers, the revision of the ignition, the replacement of the sealing hoses, as well as the recharging of the air conditioning. The interview was entrusted to a specialist, guaranteeing meticulous follow-up. The consumables are in very good condition, and no costs are to be expected.
This Ferrari Mondial has 16-inch wheels and a sunroof.
The Ferrari Mondial (Type F108), produced between 1980 and 1993, is a coupe or cabriolet with a central rear V8 engine, designed by Pininfarina and bodied by Carrozzeria Scaglietti. Offering a 2+2 configuration, it is distinguished by its larger dimensions and increased weight to accommodate rear seats.
Replacing the Ferrari 308/208 GT4, the Mondial is the last V8 model with a mid-engine rear engine from Ferrari to offer four seats. Its name, “Mondial”, refers to the global safety and emission standards of 1980, as well as to Ferrari's race victories.
The Mondial shares its main mechanical systems with the Ferrari 308, 328 and 348 models. Its V8 engines, derived from the Dino 308 GT4, evolve from 2.9 L to 3.4 L over the versions. The final model, Mondial t, benefits from an engine repositioned longitudinally for better performance.
Despite a disappointing start with the Mondial 8, Ferrari quickly improved the power with the Quattrovalvole (QV) in 1982 and continued to refine the model with the 3.2 in 1985. The 1989 World Cup was the peak of this evolution. Production stopped in 1993 with 6,149 copies produced.
