This elegant BMW 635 CSi (E24) 3.5 i was put into circulation on January 1, 1980. Imported to France in July 2012, it has a total of 133,000 KM on the clock and has belonged to only 5 owners during its history.
This copy is presented in a superb gray shade, combined with a “Caramel” leather interior. The body is in good condition, while the interior has some minor flaws.
Mechanically, this model is equipped with a 3.5L six-cylinder in-line engine developing 220 horsepower, coupled to a manual gearbox. The maintenance was rigorously monitored by BMW and specialists. Major work was carried out: a repair of the cylinder head and associated parts in April 2021, the repair of the gearbox, the replacement of a bearing and the clutch kit, the draining and replacement of the filters in December 2021, and the revision of the rear brakes, suspension and rear bearings in December 2021, and the revision of the rear brakes, suspension and rear bearings in May 2022.

The BMW 635 CSi (E24) embodies the elegance and sportiness that have marked the history of the Bavarian brand. Produced between 1976 and 1989, it succeeded the CS/E9 Coupes, affirming BMW's vocation in the GT segment. Designed by Paul Bracq and Manfred Rennen, its sleek silhouette and its famous “shark nose” give it an inimitable style.
Initially launched in 3.0 and 3.3-liter versions, the 635 CSi made its debut in 1978 with a 218 hp 3.5L engine, while the M635 CSi, which appeared in 1984, pushed sportiness even further. Equipped with the M88 engine derived from the M1, this six-cylinder in-line engine delivers 286 hp, propelling the car to 260 km/h.
Its interior combines ergonomics and sophistication, with modern equipment for the time, although some plastics have aged. Designed for driving pleasure and comfort, the 635 CSi shines with its balance and enchanting sound, despite its heavy weight and perfectable brakes.
In competition, it made an impression thanks to its prepared versions, especially in the DTM. Today, rare and sought after, the M635 CSi remains an icon that is highly appreciated by discerning enthusiasts.
