Our Bentley Eight, put into circulation in October 1988 in Germany in October 1988, arrived in France at the end of 2024. Its sole French owner acquired it in 2025. This example has 150,500 kilometers on the clock.

The Bentley Eight, produced from 1984 to 1992, was an entry-level version of the brand, derived from the Mulsanne. Its distinctive element was a wire mesh grille, replacing the traditional vertical blades. Less equipped than the Mulsanne, it had a launch price of less than £50,000, about £6,000 less than its big sister. Its success led to sales expansion beyond the United Kingdom, reaching Europe and the United States.
At launch, the Eight was equipped with fabric upholstery, steel wheels, and firmer suspension, slightly improving handling. In 1986, fuel injection and ABS were added, followed in 1987 by leather upholstery and electric memory seats. In 1990, an automatic ride height adjustment system appeared, as well as optional catalysts in the United Kingdom, which were already mandatory in other markets.
Until the end of production, the Eight used a three-speed automatic transmission, which was replaced by a four-speed transmission in August 1992. This model allowed Bentley to attract a wider customer base, while maintaining the essence of the brand.
