Audi RS2 1994 - 211,500 KM

In the early 90s, Audi piled up trophies, mainly in rallies with its Audi Quattro equipped with all-wheel drive allowing it to outperform its competitors. In search of image and legitimacy, the Ingolstadt-based brand has the firm intention of establishing itself in the sports hatchback sector.

To do this, Audi engineers made the bold choice to design the world's first high-performance station wagon based on an S2 station wagon. This is how the Audi RS2 became the first model in the great Rennsport line.

The charm and uniqueness of the RS2 lies in the fact that it was produced jointly with Porsche, having contributed its expertise in the design of sports models from the beginning to the end of the project. The S2 released from the Salzgitter factories were delivered without bumpers to the Porsche factories in Zuffenhausen, where they received improvements in aesthetics, chassis and mechanics.

They had Porsche bumpers, 17-inch Porsche wheels, a Bilstein damping system, 300mm ventilated brake discs and 4-piston calipers from the Porsche 968 Club Sport. But it is the components of the 2.2-liter 5-cylinder that have been most extensively revised by Porsche. Among them are the camshafts, the computer, the turbo, the exchanger and the catalysts, bringing its initial power from 230 to 315 horsepower.

The proposed model is a 1994 Audi RS2 in perfect condition delivered in its mythical Nogaro Blue color. It features a sunroof as well as carbon panels on the door trim and dashboard. The car is entirely original and its speedometer up to 300km/h shows 211500 kilometers. A complete history since its introduction is available and it has recently undergone a revision during which its timing belt was replaced.
