The eighth generation Porsche 911 Type 992 was unveiled in November 2018 at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles. Among the variants introduced in this phase, the Carrera 4S Cabriolet stood out as early as January 2019, combining performance and innovation.
The Carrera 4S Cabriolet is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-6 engine developing 450 horsepower, with an 8-speed PDK transmission as standard. Its all-wheel drive guarantees optimized traction, even on wet roads, thanks to the new Wet Mode function, which adjusts the electronic aids for better stability in the event of wet roads.
The 992's design modernizes the classic lines of the 911. 45 mm wider than its predecessor, the 992 is distinguished by its widened rear arches, retractable door handles and a continuous rear light strip. The third brake light, subtly integrated, forms the number “11" above the nine vertical slats of the engine cover, recalling the “911" model.
Inside, a 10.9-inch central screen and digital displays modernize the cockpit, while maintaining the analog tachometer, a nod to older generations.
