Here are the options and equipment available to this copy:
The Mercedes G500 Class originated in a military project initiated in 1972, at the request of the Shah of Iran. Developed in collaboration with Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Austria, it went into production in 1979 under the name Geländewagen. Initially utilitarian, it evolved towards luxury with more sophisticated versions.
Known for its ladder chassis, permanent all-wheel drive and three locking differentials, it stands out for its all-terrain capabilities. In 1998, Mercedes launched the G500, equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 developing 296 horsepower. This model marks a turning point by combining power and refinement.
The G-Class was redesigned in 2018 with the second-generation W463. It adopts a lightweight structure, independent front suspension, and electric power steering. The G500 gets a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that delivers 416 horsepower, coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Still produced in Austria, the G-Class exceeded 500,000 units in 2023. Its design remains faithful to the original lines, while its interior is enriched with modern equipment. Having become a symbol, it crosses the ages without losing its character, oscillating between adventurous and prestigious objects.
