Our Land Rover Defender TD5 90 was delivered new by Land Rover Aix-en-Provence and put into circulation on December 16, 2003. Its second owner purchased it in 2024.
This copy, presented in an Epson Green color, was completely restored by Elephant Factory Classic Saint-Émilion (33). Oxford Tan vinyl upholstery, Alcantara headliner and full soundproofing provide unprecedented comfort for a Defender. Completely dismantled, reliable and watertight, it is now in an irreproachable condition.
Under the hood, this Defender features the robust 122-horsepower TD5 five-cylinder engine, combined with a manual gearbox. Its behavior has been modernized to offer an optimized driving experience, without altering its authentic character. It also benefits from a 7-seater car registration document. The history is complete and clear, with more than €90,000 in invoices attesting to the work carried out. It was assessed at €130,000, and its last revision was carried out in 2025. No costs are to be expected, all consumables are new.

The Land Rover Defender TD5 90 is one of the latest representatives of the line of utility 4x4s designed to face difficult terrain. Part of the Defender series introduced in 1990, it uses the robust architecture of the original 1948 Land Rover, with a steel ladder frame and aluminum body.
The TD5, produced between 1998 and 2007, is distinguished by its 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbodiesel engine. Developed by Land Rover, this unit generates around 122 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, with an electronic injection system that is more advanced than its predecessors. It is combined with a five-speed manual transmission and a permanent all-wheel drive system with a locking center differential.
Compared to previous versions, the Defender TD5 brings a certain amount of technical refinement, while maintaining the key elements that made its reputation: rigid axles, coil spring suspensions, and a minimalist design that focuses on functionality. The 90 version, with its 92.9 inch wheelbase (about 2.36 meters), is more compact and maneuverable than the 110 and 130 variants. Used by both the armed forces and expedition enthusiasts, it remained one of Land Rover's most iconic models before production stopped in 2016.
